Update Version 0.1.1


Added a starting scene for story purposes where the Main character is a journalist who is in the villa to investigate a story after receiving an anonymous tip. This scene is still a work in progress, as the lighting is not that good and there is no puzzle element related to the lighter. The player has to just go to the second floor and pickup the lighter from one of the rooms. As I am really keen on tying the lighter with the story, once the player turns on the lighter for the first time, a cutscene plays which puts the player into a new environment which is slightly offputting.

Ideating over the overall level design and story, I kind of moved away from the idea of the 5 stages of grief and instead am looking at working around the concept of the three wise monkeys, see no evil. speak no evil, hear no evil. This idea is somewhat already in play, as there is a stage where an entity is chasing you but you cannot see the entity, thus seeing no evil. For speak no evil, I am thinking of incorporating the microphone so the player has to stay quiet while going through that level, with any sound indicating to the entity where you are. For hear no evil, I am thinking of removing all sounds from the scene, or just having a very high-pitched noise playing thus not allowing the player to know where the entity is coming from.
